Finding yourself when you have been pretending to be someone else can be pretty hard.
I had been pretending to be someone I was not, for decades. I would hold myself back in conversations as I didn’t feel I could be me, that that wasn’t acceptable.
I didn’t feel like I fit in. I found myself being led by others’ decisions and influences, hiding my voice and my values from the outside world.
Luckily there came a point when that stopped working.
It is so easy to follow others, especially when they have a strong voice or they seem to be on the same journey and hold the same values as you. How many times have you been like a sheep in the herd or taken on someone else’s values and decisions even when you didn’t agree or feel comfortable actioning them?
We are unique and our paths are unique.
How can we be true to ourselves and the journey that we want to take unless we follow our desires and our true soul’s values?
Success is how YOU measure it, not how others measure it.
In business we are told that earning 6-7 figures is a sign of success, driving flash cars, going on amazing holidays, buying expensive houses, however, success can be so much more.
Once you have aligned who you are and what you stand for with how you go about your daily life, that is when you will truly feel the success of life.
I measure my success on my ability to show up fully as me. No “mask” (and I’m not referring to the current Covid masks), just fully and totally me, not pretending to be anything but me.
Finding and being true to me has been a long path. It still sways a bit at times but that is the beauty of being human, we are not static, we evolve and our paths are not paved out before us.
We all have the option and choice to define the future trails for our journeys.
My life changed exponentially when I decided to put my soul’s values first.
When you live by your values, your true values, then you start to operate in a new way. I started to see clearly how situations or relationships weren’t in alignment with what was important to me. I felt a growing desire to make changes to how I was showing up, and although making these changes stretched my comfort zone, I felt compelled to take the steps needed.
Finding your values takes a lot of self reflection, realisation, and commitment.
Commitment to yourself and putting yourself first is one of the most important life catalysts.
For myself, I felt inspired to identify 7 soul’s values: Openness, Connection, Clarity, Deep Listening, Courage, Soul Freedom, and Perspective. There is usually a resonant number between 3-7 values but you can have as many or as few as you like.
Your journey to finding your soul’s values and your true north does not have to be a solo one, let me join you on your journey to finding yours and to showing up fully.
💫 Imagine listening to your soul’s calling.
Imagine a world in which you feel empowered to use your spiritual growth as your compass and where your purpose, your business, and your life are guided by your soul.
I know the above to be possible and this is why I’m sharing these posts and articles with you.
My wish for you is that you identify a path along which you can combine linearity and logic with soulfulness and spiritual freedom so that you can be who you truly are at this stage in your life, thereby uplevelling your contribution and impact in business and in life.
